LAURENCE REES: What would you say was the single greatest turning point of the war?
JULIET GARDINER: I really find it hard. Obviously D Day is the turning point of the war, of course it was, because, after all, that’s when the fight back started. El Alamein, again. Can I have more than one?
LAURENCE REES: Pick one.
JULIET GARDINER: I suppose really the turning point of war was when Churchill became Prime Minister.
